Celina City Council Meeting for April 22nd


The Celina City Council held its regular meeting on Monday April 22nd.

The Council heard a Fair Housing Presentation from Vance Cuthrell of West Ohio Community Action Partnership. The Council also entered into a lease agreement between the City of Celina and MAV Youth Mentoring for the lease of the Bryson Park District. In addition, the Celina City Council approved the purchase of 5 new police radios at a cost of approximately $30,000. Celina Police Chief Tom Wale explained why the purchase is necessary:

The Council also passed legislation for the city to enter into a grant agreement with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources division of forestry to remove high risk trees, tree inventory, plantings, staff expenses and public outreach. The Council also passed the 2nd reading of an ordinance authorizing the Safety-Service Director to enter into a Residential Lease Agreement with St John Lutheran Church for renting the premise at 1201 North Main Street in Celina. The Council also passed the final reading of a lease agreement between the city and the Celina Concert Series for the least of the Bryson Park District. To view the meeting:
