The Midwest Athletic Conference reports Former Versailles Football Coach Al Hetrick has passed away. A member of the Hall of Fame, Hetrick coached for 38 years before he retired in 2005. Hetrick's record was 334-95-4.

Hetrick won eighteen conference championships and appeared in nine state title games and won six of them, including three in a row between 1993 and 1995.
