Noble Township Trustees unanimously vote to reject rezoning proposal

At a public hearing Thursday Night, the Noble Township Trustees unanimously voted against an application to rezone 142 acres of farmland in the 16000 block of county road 66A from  agriculture to industrial for a new stone quarry that would have been within 5 miles of the current ConAg stone quarry. Last month, Noble Township Zoning Board Commissioners recommended the application be approved. However, a group of citizens gathered signatures for a petition and made their objections known both prior to this week's meeting and at the meeting itself.
