At Monday Night's meeting, the Celina City Council passed the first reading of an ordinance changing the zoning classification of a portion of land on Industrial Drive from Light Manufacturing to Community Shopping District. During the meeting, it was revealed that this is intended to be the location of a future Urgent Care Clinic from Mercy Health in Lima. Mercer Health CEO Lisa Klenke and Grand Lake Health System CEO Cindy Berning expressed their concerns over the new clinic. A spokesperson for Mercy Health spoke and gave information about the planned clinic. The vote to pass the ordinance was 5 to 2, with councilmen Tom Sanford and Matt Gray voting no.
