RE: Next Phase In New Refuse System To Roll Out
ST. MARYS – The City of St. Marys will soon roll out the next phase in the new refuse system. Customer whose refuse collection falls on Tuesday and Wednesday will start using the toters beginning the week of October 21. The last day these customers will need to use tags will be the week of October 14. Toters will be delivered after the final tagged refuse collection. Once customers receive their toters, they should use it at their next refuse collection day.
All customers will be provided an informational sheet outlining the guidelines for placement of their toter(s) on collection days as well as guidelines for general use and the storage of toters. There will be no tags needed for the new system, but trash needs to be in bags. No loose household trash can be deposited into the toters. No construction debris is to be placed inside the toters. Construction debris, and other special items, can be collected by arranging for a special pick up.
Customers with leftover trash tags can return them to the municipal building during normal business hours for a refund. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call 419-394-3303.
