South Carolina woman gets more prison time for her role in prostitution ring

28 year old Shelby Preslar, who is already serving a prison term for fraud, has been sentenced to 18 additional months in prison on 2 counts of felony telecommunications fraud. Preslar was orginally charged with 3 counts of promotiing prostitution. The charges were amended as part of a plea agreement. Preslar was arrested after the Mercer County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation last year about a possible active prostitution ring in the county. Preslar was indicted along with 4 other people for their role in the alleged prostitution ring. Early last year, Preslar was extradited back to Ohio by two deputies from Mercer County Sheriff’s Office from North Carolina on charges that included engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity.
