On November 10, 2024 at approximately 7:43 PM Darke County Deputies along with Union City Police Department, Greenville Rescue, Union City Fire and Rescue were dispatched to 868 Wasson Road (Union City Country Club) in reference to a UTV that struck several pedestrians.  

  Preliminary investigation revealed a 2020 Uforce side-by-side, driven by Carolyn Stewart (64) of Union City, Indiana was parked in the grass area on the east side of the clubhouse.  Stewart attempted to back the side-by-side up when she struck two elderly pedestrians, Thomas Brewer (77) and Tonya Puccini (69) both from Union City, Indiana. 

  Brewer was transported to Wayne Healthcare where he was treated and released.  Puccini was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by Miami Valleys MICU (Mobile Intensive Care Unit) where her condition is unknown at this time.  Both CareFlight and MedFlight were called to the scene however, unable to fly due to weather conditions.
