She is preceded in death by her parents.

Woody was a 1947 graduate of Grandview High School and a 1951 graduate of The Ohio State University, with a B.S. in Art Education. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Woody had many interests, including history, nature, gardening, cooking, drawing, painting, sculpture, and photography. One of her photographs earned first prize at the Ohio State Fair. She loved art and architecture and conceptualized and designed the unique family home.

She was interested in genealogy and family lineage in later years, and her research led her and John to visit many familial communities. They loved to travel and visited many places across the country and abroad, but nothing compared to going to “The Shoe” to watch Buckeye football.
