45 year old Richard J. Garcia-Mejias of Celina was arrested Sunday after the police were called to the Walmart Supercenter in Celina on a report of a theft in progress. According to court records, the police found Garcia-Mejias in the parking lot. The officer used a translating app to talk to the suspect after he said he did not understand English. Garcia-Mejias showed the police an identification card from Venezula and stated he resides here locally. Garcia-Mejias is suspected of 3 total thefts this month totaling nearly 12-hundred-dollars. Garcia-Mejias is being held in the Mercer County Jail pending a court appearance.
