Thomas J. Schwieterman age 25, of St. Henry and formerly of Coldwater, passed unexpectedly on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at his residence in St. Henry. Thomas was born October 27, 1999, in Coldwater, Ohio to James and Lucy (Homan) Schwieterman.  James and Lucy survive in Coldwater.  Thomas was engaged to be married to his beautiful fiancé Heidi Tangeman of Chickasaw.  In addition to his parents and fiancé, Thomas is survived by siblings and in-laws Jim & Amy Schwieterman of Wilshire, Otto & Laura Schwieterman of St. Henry, Diana & Craig, Uhlenhake of Coldwater, Kevin & Michelle Schwieterman of Coldwater, Andrew Schwieterman Ft. Recovery, Denise & Adam Schmitmeyer of St. Henry, and Luke Schwieterman of Coldwater.  Other surviving family members include his grandparents Ben and Hilda Schwieterman Ft. Recovery, and Donna Homan of Coldwater, his future father and mother in-law, Scott and Linda Tangeman of Chickasaw, and numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews 

Thomas was proceeded in death by his grandfather, Leon Homan, and a godchild and nephew Hayden.

Thomas was a graduate of Coldwater High School and Wright State University. He was currently a fourth grade teacher at Coldwater Elementary School, where he was also a seventh-grade football coach and a junior high track coach.  During his time in high school he went to state three times, competing in wrestling, football, and in track. He had worked at Ohio Recycling in Chickasaw, and played basketball weekly with his friends. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater and his faith was very important to him. He loved spending time with his family and being the “fun uncle” to his nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 12, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, with Fr. Ethan Moore presiding.  Friends and family may call from 2 to 8 PM on Friday, July 11, and from 9 to 9:30 AM Saturday morning at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.  Condolences for the family may be expressed in person or left at hogenkampfh.com.
