Minster Board of Education Overview- September 10, 2025
The Minster Board of Education met for their regular monthly meeting Wednesday evening.
Donations
The Board voted to approve accepting the following donations:
●​ $2500 from the Minster Community Fund for a guest speaker for the Get Real program
●​ $350 from Minster Civic Association for the HS PBIS program
●​ $250 from the Minster Class of 2023 for Negative Lunch accounts
Board Recognition of Students
The Board recognized Senior Xavier Kitzmiller. Xavier attended the Buckeye Boys State
program at Miami University.
Superintendent’s Report
Superintendent Josh Meyer provided the Board with an update regarding safety improvements
to the District over the last few years. Mr. Meyer’s full report can be found here:

K-6 Principal’s Report
Elementary Principal Mrs. Mandy Albers provided the elementary report. Mrs. Albers provided
the Board with attendance rates for Back to School Night and told the Board about the 3rd
grade involvement in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Grand Opening of the new Welcome
Center at Lake Loramie State Park.

7-12 Principal’s Report
7-12 Principal Mr. Austin Kaylor shared the Jr/Sr High School update with the Board. He
provided the Board with class officers and student council members and thanked the Minster PD
for their recent safety presentation. Mr. Kaylor also shared with the Board that over 90% of
Minster High School students are involved in an extra-curricular program. He also provided the
Board with an outline of the high school CATS Pride program.

Curriculum and Instruction
Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer Gina Selby provided the Board with her monthly report. Mrs. Selby updated the Board
on real estate tax settlements, notified the Board that Minster is currently undergoing field work
for a financial audit and provided the Board with an updated financial forecast. Mrs. Selby also
provided the Board with a budget performance update.

Superintendent’s Consent Agenda
During the Superintendent’s Consent Agenda portion of the meeting the Minster Board
approved the following:
●​ HS Band Trip to Disney World November 16, 2025 to November 22, 2025.
New Business
In new business the Minster Board approved the following items:
●​ Approved a service agreement with Montgomery Co. ESC for hearing, audiology and low
vision.
●​ Approved a 3 year scheduled service agreement with Waibel Energy Systems.
●​ Approved the Gifted Education Policy and Service Plan.
●​ Approved Tri Star Referral #139 to purchase a trailer for the Animal Health program.
The Board set October 14 at 7 PM in the Large Group Room as the time for their next monthly
meeting.
Personnel Recommendations
The Board approved the following Personnel Recommendations:
●​ A 1 year limited contract for Emily Lawrence- Sub Custodian
●​ Approved a number of spring supplemental positions.

Executive Session
The Board of Education entered into Executive Session to discuss the employment and
compensation of a public employee and the purchase or sale of property. No action was taken
after the Executive Session.
