Celina man indicted on cocaine, assault, and obstruction charges
MERCER COUNTY — A Mercer County grand jury has indicted 23-year-old Drew Burleson of Celina on multiple charges stemming from an alleged incident that occurred on September 28, 2025.
According to court documents, Burleson faces four counts:
Count 1: Possession of Cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, in violation of Ohio Revised Code §§2925.11(A) and 2925.11(C)(4)(a).
Count 2: Illegal Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, in violation of §§2925.14(C)(1) and 2925.14(F)(1).
Count 3: Assault, a first-degree misdemeanor, in violation of §§2903.13(A) and 2903.13(C).
Count 4: Obstructing Official Business, a second-degree misdemeanor, in violation of §§2921.31(A) and 2921.31(B).
The indictment alleges Burleson knowingly possessed cocaine, used or possessed drug paraphernalia, caused or attempted to cause physical harm to another person, and obstructed a public official in the performance of lawful duties.
The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office is handling the case. Burleson’s arraignment date has not yet been set.
