CELINA TO HONOR LOCAL HEROES WITH VETERANS DAY SERVICE AT LAKE SHORE PARK
The community is invited to gather for Celina’s annual Veterans Day Service on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Lake Shore Park’s Veterans Memorial.
The program begins with a gathering at 10:30 a.m., followed by the ceremony at 10:45 a.m. The event will feature patriotic music, prayers, and tributes to honor America’s veterans and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The Celina Senior High Band, under the direction of Eric Pugh, will perform the National Anthem and other selections throughout the ceremony. Pastor Scott Rowe will offer prayers, and Phillip Metz will serve as the keynote speaker.
The service will include traditional tributes such as the Salute to America’s Finest, Placement of the Wreaths, Volley to the Dead, and Taps, presented by members of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries.
Following the ceremony, all participants are invited to a lunch at the American Legion.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to sit near the memorial, or they may listen from their cars on WCSM Radio.
Organizers note that this year’s service will take place at the Veterans Memorial, not on the park stage.
