During last night’s council meeting, members approved the third and final reading of a contract with the American Ministry of Power, extending the village’s energy efficiency program for another three years. The program offers rebates and incentives to residential, commercial, and industrial customers who complete qualifying energy-saving improvements.

Council also advanced a mutual aid agreement with the Loramie Fire District. Through this arrangement, McLean Township and Shelby County pay the village $29,950 for fire coverage on the north side of Lake Loramie.

In other action, council gave a second reading to a resolution designating Minster Bank as the village’s depository for public funds for the next five years.

The meeting concluded with approval of the November 2025 income tax report. The village collected $347,358 in November, bringing the year-to-date total to $4.83 million — roughly $140,000 more than at this point last year.
