VERSAILLES Midmark has supported Dayton Children’s Hospital for more than 20 years, and two members of the company’s Dayton Children’s committee joined Spectrum to explain why the partnership continues to matter to employees and families across the region.

Candace Phlipot and Renee Siebert said the connection is personal for many at Midmark, with employees and their families having received care at Dayton Children’s over the years. Phlipot shared that her youngest son has been treated by multiple specialists at Dayton Children’s since 2016, calling the support from hospital staff and caregivers a major reason she continues serving on the committee. Siebert said her family’s experience during her son’s emergency appendectomy left a lasting impression, and she values knowing that level of care is there for future generations.

The committee, made up of eight Midmark employees, spends the year coordinating sponsors, raffle items, and door prizes while also volunteering and staying connected with Dayton Children’s donor engagement staff. They noted the fundraising impact has grown over the years, with the group now reporting more than $80,000 donated overall, including $20,000 raised in the most recent year. The committee hopes to top that total with its next event.

They also discussed needs supported through donations, including equipment like the Stryker Cub pediatric crib, designed to help caregivers respond quickly and create a more comforting environment for young patients and their families. Another program highlighted was the Canine Co Pilot program, which features facility dogs trained specifically for medical environments to help reduce anxiety, support children during procedures, and provide comfort.

The committee’s next major fundraiser is set for Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Minster Community Lanes, with bowling from 7 to 9 and check in beginning at 6. The event includes a raffle open to Midmark teammates and the public, plus door prizes and a 50 50 drawing. Raffle prizes range from $50 to $1,000, and Midmark will match funds raised up to $7,500.

Organizers say community members can get involved by registering a lane for up to six bowlers, donating door prizes, purchasing raffle tickets, or attending even if they do not bowl. They also encouraged local businesses to consider supporting future events as sponsors through prize donations.

More information is expected to be shared through Midmark’s Facebook page as the event approaches.
