Rockford Clerk and Treasurer Lisa Kuhn says dog tags are currently on sale at the village office through January 30, 2026.

Kuhn said the cost is $22, with payment accepted by cash or check made out to the Mercer County Treasurer. She noted the village office does not accept debit cards for dog tag purchases.

Kuhn also shared an update on water bill delivery. She said residents who want to receive a copy of their water bill by email can contact the village office to add an email address to their water account. Kuhn said customers will receive notification that way, with a postcard also expected to follow.

In other business, Kuhn said council paid bills totaling $26,231.79 and accepted the mayor’s court pay in of $711.

Council also approved 2026 WRKD station officers, including Chris Rathback as station manager, Luke Stevenson as president, Todd Hinkle as vice president, and Warren Schindeldecker as secretary.

Kuhn added an Economic Development Committee meeting will be held before the next council meeting, starting at 6:30 p.m.
