The Ohio Board of Nursing has revoked the licensed practical nurse license of John C. Brown of Wapakoneta following a case involving five counts of patient endangering tied to the care of a developmentally disabled individual.
Brown was previously convicted on five counts of first degree misdemeanor patient endangerment in Sidney Municipal Court. He was later sentenced to probation with a suspended jail sentence by then presiding Judge Gary Carter, who has since retired.
The nursing board’s license revocation is an administrative action by the State of Ohio and is separate from the criminal court process.
The case has continued to draw public attention due to the nature of the allegations and the vulnerability of the victim involved.
