Coldwater council thanks snowplow crews, approves Terrace and Cedar Street bid, adjusts Feb. 9 meeting time

Coldwater, Ohio — Coldwater Village Manager Jason Eyink says village council took time this week to recognize the crews who kept roads open during the latest round of winter weather.

Eyink says council expressed its thanks to Coldwater’s snowplow crews, who put in about seven hours on Sunday, then returned around 2:30 Monday morning and worked throughout the day to get streets cleared.

In other business, council held the second reading of Ordinance 1771, which covers the issuance of land acquisition notes.

Council also approved a bid for the upcoming Terrace and Cedar Street project. PAB Construction was the low bidder at $867,019. Eyink noted the bid came in under the engineer’s estimate of $980,000.

Eyink also reminded residents of a schedule change for an upcoming meeting. The February 9 Coldwater Village Council meeting will now begin at 6:30 p.m.
