Coldwater Exempted Village Schools is celebrating a hometown success story on the world stage.
Katie Homan, a Coldwater High School graduate from the Class of 2004, serves as the head athletic trainer for the U.S. Women’s National Hockey Team and is now an Olympic gold medalist after Team USA captured gold at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Games.
The United States won the gold medal game with a 2 to 1 overtime victory over Canada.
Homan, who is the daughter of Doug and Ellen Homan, has been part of USA Hockey’s women’s program staff and was again on the bench for this Olympic run.
Coldwater schools and the Coldwater community say they are proud to see Homan represent her hometown at the highest level.
