Fort Recovery Council moves forward on ODOT project, sidewalk enforcement, and summer events

Fort Recovery council approved a resolution allowing the village to enter an ODOT led project during its regular meeting.

Village Administrator Aaron Rengers says council also passed an ordinance updating the village wage ordinance for 2026, and gave a first reading to a new sidewalk maintenance program ordinance that would require property owners with existing sidewalks to repair and maintain them.

Council also voted to close North Wayne Street, also known as the brick street, for the Taste of the Town on June 18, 2026, and discussed Fort Recovery’s America 250 celebration set for July 25, 2026, with more details to follow.

The next council meeting is Monday, March 16 at 7:30.
