Wayne IGA Announces It Will Close After This Week In Fort Recovery

FORT RECOVERY, Ohio — Wayne IGA in Fort Recovery says this will be its final week in business.

In a post shared on the store’s Facebook page, the owner said the decision “was not made lightly” after working at IGA for more than a decade. The message said the store has faced “too many challenges behind the scenes,” making it impossible to continue operating.

The post thanked the Fort Recovery community for shopping local over the past three years and also recognized store employees for sticking through difficult times.

The store said a clearance sale will take place Thursday and Friday, with “everything remaining in the store” marked down. Customers are being asked to watch for a future post with additional details.

Adjusted hours for the remainder of the week were also announced:

Wednesday, March 4: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Thursday, March 5: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, March 6: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
