Severe Storm And Emergency Preparedness Class Set For April 13 At Mercer County Fairgrounds
CELINA, Ohio — The Mercer County Emergency Management Agency is inviting area residents to a Severe Storm and Emergency Preparedness Class next month at the Mercer County Fairgrounds.
The class will be held Monday, April 13, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the PBS Building at the fairgrounds in Celina. Meteorologist Nick Dunn will join representatives from the Shelby and Mercer County EMA offices for the program.
Organizers say the class will focus on understanding severe weather threats, what watches and warnings mean, how to build an emergency plan, and steps families can take now to be ready before storms hit.
The Mercer County EMA is encouraging the public to attend and share the information with friends and family.
And a reminder, WCSM’s Spectrum will feature the Mercer County EMA Director and the Shelby County EMA Director on Friday, March 27th, with more on severe weather, preparedness, and local emergency planning.
