Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber Shares Busy Spring Calendar and Urges Support for Local Businesses
The Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber of Commerce is highlighting a full slate of upcoming events across the region while also encouraging residents to keep supporting local businesses and organizations.
In a message to WCSM listeners, Chamber Director Sara Topp said the chamber’s businesses and organizations continue to help make the local area a great place to live, work, and play.
Among the upcoming events is the West Ohio Professionals gathering set for March 12th at Minster Bank’s Minster location from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature a presentation called Designing Your Financial Future. Topp said the event requires an RSVP through a Facebook message to West Ohio Professionals.
Topp also said anyone interested in the countywide leadership class for the 2026 to 2027 class year should get on the waiting list soon because spots fill quickly. Those interested are encouraged to contact the St. Marys Chamber, Wapakoneta Area Chamber, or the Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber.
Another upcoming event is the State of the Villages, scheduled for March 19th at 7:30 a.m. at the First Church of New Knoxville.
The chamber is also planning its next Business After Hours event for April 8th from 4 to 7 p.m. Topp said sponsors for that event are WealthPoint and Jim Luedeke with Ruoff Mortgage.
Looking ahead, the chamber is partnering with Collette and Moon City Travel for a chamber trip to Portugal from April 8th through April 17th, 2027. An informational meeting on that trip is planned for April 28th at 6 p.m. at the Lockkeeper’s House in New Bremen.
The Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber of Commerce annual luncheon is set for May 12th at 11:30 a.m. at Faith Alliance Church. Topp said the event will recognize businesses and individuals nominated by their peers. Categories include Business of the Year, Business Person of the Year, nonprofit recognition, and special achievement awards. Nominations can be submitted through the events tab at the chamber’s website.
Topp also reminded residents that chamber gift certificates are available and help keep more dollars in the local economy. They can be purchased at the chamber office in the Lockkeeper’s House or at any Minster Bank location in southwestern Auglaize County.
She closed with a reminder that local businesses, schools, service clubs, and communities all need public support.
Topp said shopping local and supporting local organizations remains vital to a growing and thriving economy in the chamber’s Golden Triangle communities.
