ODOT to invest record $3.4 billion in nearly 1,000 road projects this year

The Ohio Department of Transportation says paving season is now underway with a record breaking investment in road construction and restoration projects across the state.

ODOT plans to spend $3.4 billion on nearly 1,000 projects this year, marking one of the largest construction seasons in state history. Officials say the work will include road improvements, repairs, and other transportation upgrades in communities across Ohio.

State leaders were expected to officially launch the construction season and provide more details on the projects. Drivers should be prepared to see more orange barrels and work zones on Ohio roadways in the weeks ahead.
