Minster council to review tax policy, magistrate appointment and storm repair resolutions

Minster Village Council is set to meet Tuesday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers, with a full agenda that includes a proposed sales tax reimbursement policy, a magistrate appointment for Mayor’s Court and several resolutions tied to recent storm recovery efforts.

Among the items up for discussion is the first reading of an ordinance adopting a sales tax reimbursement policy in compliance with a recent Ohio Auditor of State bulletin.

Council is also expected to consider a resolution appointing Randy Lamarr Jr. to serve as magistrate of the Village of Minster’s Mayor’s Court.

Several additional resolutions on the agenda would formally thank outside communities and contractors for helping Minster repair storm-damaged electrical infrastructure. Those resolutions recognize assistance from the Village of New Bremen, the Village of Versailles, the City of Piqua, the City of Wapakoneta and Vaughn Electric.

Under new business, council members are scheduled to review invoices over $3,000, consider approval of the March 2026 income tax report submitted by the City of St. Marys, and discuss renewal of liquor permits in the village.

The agenda also includes the administrator’s report, total invoices of $2,130,305.57, receipts of $3,067,563.33, and a possible executive session to discuss the purchase of land.
