Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber highlights spring events, leadership opportunities and local business support

The Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber of Commerce is promoting a full lineup of spring and summer events across the Golden Triangle, along with leadership opportunities and programs aimed at supporting local business growth.

In an update to WCSM listeners, Sara Topp said residents are invited to attend the West Ohio Professional Event on April 9th at the Wapakoneta Area Chamber of Commerce from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will focus on how foster care impacts the community and ways people can make a difference. It is an RSVP event through the West Ohio Professionals Facebook page.

Topp also said those interested in taking part in the countywide leadership class for 2026 through 2027 should get on the waiting list soon, as spots are expected to fill quickly. She said people can contact the St. Marys Chamber, the Wapakoneta Area Chamber, or the Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber for more information.

The next Business After Hours event is scheduled for April 8th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Community Lanes. The event is sponsored by WealthPoint and Jim Luana with Ruoff Mortgage.

Another upcoming event is a free retirement planning seminar hosted by Prudential on April 14th at 6 p.m. at the Lockkeeper’s House in New Bremen. Topp said the seminar will focus on Social Security strategies and retirement planning.

The chamber is also partnering with Collette and Moon City Travel on a chamber trip to Portugal scheduled for April 8th through April 17th of 2027. An informational meeting on that trip will be held April 28th at 6 p.m. at the Lockkeeper’s House in New Bremen.

Looking ahead, the Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber annual luncheon is set for May 12th at 11:30 a.m. at Faith Alliance Church. Topp said the event will honor businesses and individuals nominated by their peers in categories including Business of the Year, Business Person of the Year, Nonprofit, and Special Achievement. Nominations can be submitted through the Events tab at Auglaize.org.

The next Golden Triangle Golf Outing is also on the calendar for Friday, August 28th at Arrowhead Golf Course in Minster, with an 11 a.m. shotgun start.

Topp also reminded listeners that Chamber Gift Certificates are available through the Chamber Office at the Lockkeeper’s House and at Minster Bank locations in southwestern Auglaize County. She closed by encouraging residents to shop local and support area businesses, schools, service clubs, and communities.
