Wapakoneta man indicted in Auglaize County on firearms charge
WAPAKONETA - A Wapakoneta man has been indicted in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court on a fourth degree felony charge of improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle.
Court records show 19 year old Kaden Skyler James was indicted April 21 in case 2026 CR 0035. The charge stems from an alleged offense on March 18 in Auglaize County.
Records show a warrant was issued April 21 and executed the next morning, when deputies arrested James and brought him to Auglaize County Common Pleas Court.
According to a journal entry filed April 22, James entered a not guilty plea and was granted an own recognizance bond. The court also appointed the Auglaize County Public Defender to represent him after finding him indigent.
The court set several bond conditions, including that James not possess or control firearms, not operate a motor vehicle, not use or possess alcohol or drugs, not leave Ohio without written permission from the court, and not violate the law while the case is pending.
The case remains open in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court.
