St. Marys council to hold DORA hearing, consider Enbridge resolution and property ordinance

ST. MARYS - St. Marys City Council is scheduled to meet Monday, April 27, with a public hearing on the city’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area set for 6:15 p.m. ahead of the regular council meeting at 6:30 in council chambers at the city building.

Council’s agenda includes a request for a zoning change under petitions and communications, along with reports from the city auditor, treasurer, and director of public service and safety.

Among the items up for action is a third reading of Ordinance 2026-04, which would complete a five year review of the downtown DORA and approve its continued operation in specified public areas of St. Marys.

Council will also consider two new pieces of legislation. Resolution 2026-07 would formally oppose Enbridge Gas Ohio’s request to increase distribution rates and ask the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio to deny the utility’s request.

Also on the agenda is Ordinance 2026-05, an emergency measure that would authorize the director of public service and safety to advertise certain real estate for bids.

The meeting will wrap up with scheduling, miscellaneous business, and closing items.
