Fort Recovery Schools Preparing For Busy End Of Year Schedule
Fort Recovery Local Schools are heading into a busy final stretch of the school year.
Superintendent Tony Stahl says the district recently completed required state testing, with students and staff doing a strong job preparing for and completing the assessments. The district is now looking forward to receiving results.
The week of May 4th through May 8th will be Staff Appreciation Week. Stahl says several events and gifts are planned for staff members, courtesy of the district’s parent teacher organization and Student Council. He says the district is thankful for the service and dedication staff members provide to students.
Several field trips are also scheduled in the coming weeks, with students set to visit locations including Ohio Caverns, Aullwood Nature Center, and the courthouse.
Fort Recovery’s FFA program also had a major accomplishment at the state level. The high school Ag Mechanics Engineering team placed first in the entire state of Ohio. Team members include Carter Fortkamp, Will West Curtis, and Jace Webker.
High school graduation is set for Sunday, May 17th at 2 p.m. inside Fort Site Fieldhouse. The district will award diplomas to 68 senior graduates.
Stahl says Fort Recovery Schools appreciate the continued support from the community and invite residents to take part in end of year activities, including graduation, spring sports senior nights, and the middle school 5K on May 8th.
