Southwest Auglaize County Chamber Highlights Upcoming Community Events and Programs
The Southwest Auglaize County Chamber of Commerce is highlighting several upcoming events and opportunities across the Golden Triangle.
Chamber Director Sara Topp says the New Bremen Foundation is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a special matching-gift campaign. Eleven community organizations are participating, with $30,000 in matching funds available. The campaign began July 1 and continues through December 1, which is Giving Tuesday.
More information about the campaign is available at newbremenfoundation.org.
Two upcoming blood drives are also planned in the area. The YMCA will host a community blood drive Thursday, August 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Questions can be directed to the YMCA at 419-629-9622.
Joint Township District Memorial Hospital will hold another blood drive August 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in conference rooms one through three. Additional information is available by calling the hospital at 419-394-6132, extension 1128.
The New Bremen Historical Society will continue opening its museum on the fourth Sunday of each month through September from 1 to 3 p.m. The organization will also host an ice cream social Sunday, September 13, from 1 to 3 p.m., featuring free ice cream and museum tours.
The chamber is also preparing for an international trip in 2027. Topp says the chamber is partnering with Collette and Moon City Travel for a trip to Portugal from April 8 through April 17, 2027. Those interested can contact the chamber or Moon City Travel for additional information.
Planning is also underway for this year’s Christmas Tree Festival. Participants will be able to set up and decorate trees from November 2 through November 20.
Topp also reminded residents that chamber gift certificates are available at the chamber office in the Lockkeeper’s House and at Minster Bank locations throughout southwest Auglaize County.
The certificates can be used at participating local businesses and are intended to help keep more spending within the local economy.
Topp encouraged residents to continue supporting area businesses, schools, service organizations and communities by shopping locally.
