36-Year-Old Adam Roberts Indicted on Four Third-Degree Felony Charges in Auglaize County

A 36-year-old man has been indicted by an Auglaize County grand jury on four third-degree felony charges involving alleged drug possession and tampering with evidence.

Adam Clyde Roberts, 36, is charged with one count of tampering with evidence and three counts of drug possession involving methamphetamine, heroin and a fentanyl-related compound.

The indictment, filed August 11 in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court, alleges the offenses occurred on or about June 17 in Auglaize County.

Prosecutors allege Roberts knew an official proceeding or investigation was underway, or likely to begin, and altered, destroyed, concealed or removed evidence with the purpose of impairing its value or availability.

The methamphetamine possession count alleges the amount involved equaled or exceeded the bulk amount but was less than five times the bulk amount.

Roberts is also accused of possessing at least five grams but less than 10 grams of heroin.

A fourth count alleges Roberts possessed at least five grams but less than 10 grams of a fentanyl-related compound.

All four charges are third-degree felonies. The grand jury returned a true bill on the indictment.

The charges are allegations, and Roberts is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
