Mercer County OSU Extension Accepting Master Gardener Volunteer Applications

Mercer County OSU Extension is still accepting applications for its upcoming Master Gardener Volunteer training class.

The fall training program will begin in early November and continue through April 2027.

Training will include a combination of in person labs and online hybrid classes. In person training will be held in Celina.

The final training schedule will be determined based on instructor availability and input from individuals who submit applications.

Applications are due September 1.

Online applications are available through the Ohio Master Gardener Volunteer program. Paper applications can also be picked up at the Mercer County OSU Extension office inside the Mercer County Agricultural Center at 4978 Mud Pike Road in Celina.

The Master Gardener Volunteer program provides training for residents interested in horticulture who then use that knowledge through volunteer and educational activities in their communities.

Questions can be directed to Mercer County Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Educator Ryan McMichael at 419 586 2179.
