St. Marys Man Indicted on Cocaine Possession Charge in Mercer County

A 26-year-old St. Marys man has been indicted on a felony drug charge in Mercer County.

A Mercer County grand jury indicted Raul Del Valle-Rodriguez on one count of possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony.

The indictment alleges Del Valle-Rodriguez knowingly obtained, possessed or used cocaine in Mercer County on or about September 11.

Court records show an arrest warrant was issued following the indictment. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office arrested Del Valle-Rodriguez on September 22 and took him to the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility.

Del Valle-Rodriguez appeared in Mercer County Common Pleas Court on September 23 and was released on his own recognizance after the court ordered a drug screening.

Conditions of his release prohibit him from consuming alcohol or drugs, entering establishments that serve alcohol by the drink or possessing firearms. He is also subject to random testing and must participate in the probation department’s drug-screening call-in program.

The charge is an allegation, and Del Valle-Rodriguez is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
