Mercer County Head Start has announced its continued sponsorship of the USDA-funded Child and Adult Care Food Program for fiscal year 2027.

The program applies to Mercer County Head Start locations at 585 East Livingston Street in Celina, 833 South Main Street in Rockford and 802 Weis Street in Coldwater. 

The Child and Adult Care Food Program requires participating sponsors to publicly announce the availability of meals within their service area.

Updated income eligibility guidelines for free and reduced-price meals are in effect from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.

Under the guidelines, a household of one has an annual income limit of $20,748 for free meals and $29,526 for reduced-price meals. For a household of four, the limits are $42,900 for free meals and $61,050 for reduced-price meals.

For households with more than eight members, the guidelines increase by $7,384 for each additional household member under the free-meal category and $10,508 under the reduced-price category.

Mercer County Head Start participates in the program through the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
