New Bremen head volleyball coach Diana Kramer reached a major career milestone Tuesday night, earning her 400th victory as the Cardinals swept Arcanum in straight sets.

New Bremen won the match 25-19, 25-11 and 25-17, improving Kramer’s career coaching record to 400 wins and just 53 losses across 17 seasons.

The milestone adds another accomplishment to a coaching career already filled with state championships and postseason success.

Kramer has won five OHSAA Division IV state championships during her career.

Her first came while coaching St. Henry in 2011.

After taking over at New Bremen, Kramer led the Cardinals to state championships in 2017, 2019, 2022 and 2023.

Her success on the sidelines also earned national recognition when Kramer was named National High School Coach of the Year in 2022.

Before becoming a championship-winning coach, Kramer also built an accomplished playing career.

She played collegiately at Duquesne University, where she was a four-time All-Atlantic 10 selection as a middle hitter.

Kramer finished her college career with more than 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs and was inducted into the Duquesne University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015.

Tuesday night’s victory over Arcanum officially pushed Kramer to the 400-win mark as she continues her 17th season as a head coach.
