Bellefontaine Choir Teacher Arrested on Importuning Allegation

A Bellefontaine High School teacher has been placed on administrative leave following an arrest on suspicion of importuning.

According to published reports and Logan County Jail records, 33-year-old Brice Henry was arrested early Monday and booked into the jail. The alleged offense involves a person described in jail records as being 13, 14 or 15 years old.

Henry works as a vocal music teacher at Bellefontaine High School.

Bellefontaine City Schools Superintendent Brad Hall notified district families that the alleged incident occurred away from school property and did not involve a district student.

The district has placed Henry on administrative leave and revoked his access to school buildings and computer systems while the investigation continues. School officials said the district is cooperating with law enforcement.

Bellefontaine Police Chief Christopher Marlow confirmed the investigation remains active but did not provide additional details.

Henry is accused of an offense but has not been convicted. The case remains under investigation.
