Fort Recovery investigating swimming pool water loss
FORT RECOVERY — The Village of Fort Recovery is working to address several leaks at the community swimming pool after testing showed significant water loss.
Village Administrator Aaron Rengers said the pool is losing an estimated 500,000 gallons of water each month.
Leak-detection work identified several areas that village officials hope can be repaired to reduce the water loss.
During this week’s meeting, village council also approved two ordinances. One accepts the annexation of seven-tenths of an acre into the village, while the second updates the village’s wage ordinance.
Council also received updates on the designs for the village’s water and wastewater treatment plants. Both projects are moving toward the final-design stage.
Access Engineering is also preparing a preliminary study involving the North Wayne Street pump station.
The next Fort Recovery Village Council meeting is scheduled for November 2 at 7:30 p.m.
