Man Sentenced to Nine Years in Rural King Theft Ring
A 35-year-old man was sentenced to nine years in prison Monday for his role in a theft ring targeting Rural King stores across 10 Ohio counties.
According to ONN, Byron Carner pleaded guilty in Clark County Common Pleas Court to multiple charges, including engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and theft.
The operation involved more than $100,000 worth of high-value tools stolen over five months in 2024. The stolen merchandise was sold through local pawn shops.
Carner was sentenced immediately after his plea. Two other suspects face similar charges.
