Acton Plans Three Executive Orders on First Day as Governor

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Governor-elect Amy Acton says she plans to sign three executive orders on her first day in office targeting corruption, government appointments and transparency in state contracts.

According to WBNS-TV and the Ohio News Network, the orders would establish an anti-corruption task force in state government, change how government appointments are made and increase transparency in state contracting.

Supporters are also calling for changes to school funding. WBNS reports that major districts, including Columbus City Schools, have gone nearly four years without an increase in state funding.
