Fire Destroys Buckeye Lake Home, One Person Hospitalized

BUCKEYE LAKE, Ohio — The American Red Cross is assisting a family of five after a fire destroyed their Buckeye Lake home Wednesday morning.

Licking Township fire crews said the fire occurred shortly before 8 a.m. One person was taken to a hospital with burns, according to WBNS-TV and the Ohio News Network.

Buckeye Lake Mayor Linda Goodman said arson investigators visited the scene to investigate the cause. The home was declared a total loss.

The cause had not been released in the report.
